Carrier Screen or Valiant Stand could work for SA'a. It looks like Oyashio accompanied several carriers and attacked Washington during the battle of Guadalcanal. And either of them would be new for Japan (I think, I haven't checked)

Just one of these seems better to me, both is trying to do two things at once. Plus any torp SA with LL is enough to bump the cost and carrier screen is not an insignificant ability. The history on this tips it more offensively, what with it's torp attacks. I'd leave the carrier ability for another unit down the line.

She escorted just about every ship type including fleet carriers before her 'death ride' with Yamato. Could still be a future option.
