I think its a reasonable assumption enough we can adopt it. Id still love a reference for piece of mind.
One that connects the lineage of the abruzzi's to the UP-90/Up102/UP770 and that specifically confirms which d3sign they offered the romanian navy. Its possible the armour thickness was never specified, but the derivation would enough
Dr Benninghof at avalanche press says that up90 was an abruzzi derivative with 10" guns. Siesen mentioned this with his painted version and tirnou didnt dispute Siesen when he replied to that information. Its thin as a squished thin mint. But i believe we can reasonably go with the Abruzzi/garabaldi as justfication for A5 and leave it at that.

CHASE THE SALVOES: Whenever an enemy Battleship makes a Main Gunnery attack against this unit, roll a die. On a 5 or higher, this unit takes no damage from that attack.

This is a dangerous vessel especially against the Gargants.
I read gargants an thought 40k orks. But yes it would have a fighting chance versus the ganguts but, will get thumped by a equal values worth of kirov's. Who would likewise get thumpted by romanian subs.
I think its great rejuvenation of black sea themed games
