I have seen pictures of Bismarck in the scheme that matches the Rheinubung Bismarck miniature, but with yellow turrets. Did WOTC forget to do that with the mini?
If so I am tempted to modify my mini and add the yellow to the turrets.
Also what is the purpose of those turret colorings? I know that Blucher, USS Arizona, and I think HMS hood have all been depicted with colored turrets in picrures and on models.I figured it was just a recognition thing but thought I would see if someone could inform me about that.
I have also been looking and saw that Bismarck and Prinz Eugen had red on their turrets when they wore their Baltic Stripes, would it be more correct to paint them red as well?
I believe, but am not completely sure, that the colouring was to allow friendly aircraft to easily identify friendly ships.
As for the miniature, Bismarck started operation Rheinübung with grey turret tops and only may have painted them yellow at the very end, so most of the campaign was with grey turrets. Hope this helps!
