Hi guys, and before you say it, I know that it is beyond unreasonable to believe that WotC will ever reprint the game.
However, I do want to know if anyone knows if a reprint in general is possible at all. Specifically, does anyone know if WotC would have preserved the original sculpts for the minis, such that it is at least theoretically possible. I guess it sounds unreasonable that they'd hold on to them for about a decade now, but if anyone happens to work in a similar line of work and would know, that would be epic.
I remember reading somewhere that someone had looked into purchasing the rights from WotC to continue the game at least on a smaller scale, but I don't know how true that is, and if that is actually an option that we could pursue.
I bring this up because I had a weird experience when I pulled out all of my minis and put them on the board yesterday, organizing them by expansion. Oddly enough, the game feels more complete with just sets 1 and 2 then with all 6 plus the starter. I figure this is because almost every very iconic unit was covered in the first two, so everything from Flank Speed onwards makes it feel like they were trying to make the game a full representation of WWII naval combat, but since it was cut off, that wasn't accomplished (that could just be me though, since I'd feel much better if South Dakota, another Independence class, another New Orleans class, Zuiho, and Hiyo made it into set 6, and that the inclusion of Montana and the Swedes at the cost of them was a waste). I like the forumini cards and can't wait to get my hands on them, but they just don't have the same feel, if that makes sense.
