Is there any kind of guide on how to fix/straighten out warped plastic superstructure on minis? I’m talking about how most of the larger units have a softer plastic for their superstructure than they do for their hull. Let me know thanks!
I have used the hot/cold water method for bendy barrels on tanks a few times & hotter than tap hot, I use the microwave to heat the water hotter than out of the tap but not boiling & then ice water after straightening as needed....it works with some care exercised when heating the plastic, barrels are thinner I reckon than superstructures but still plastic.
The usual way is to heat the plastic by warm water and then hold it in position until it cools.
Does this work as a cure for Banana Boat Syndrome? I've heard of using zip-ties to hold afflicted destroyers and such in place for an extend period but I don't know what the best option is.

Yes it does, I used elastic bands but the procedure is more or less as follows:
1. heat water 2. secure destroyers to a rigid surface, like a metal ruler 3. put them in the hot water and let sit for a while 4. take them out and put into cold or cool water briefly and then they should be good.
There's also a thread here where this exact issue is talked about and is where I got my cure from.
