The video is about 35 minutes. It is a documentary about the history of Fort Drum. Good production with a lot of vintage photos and newspaper articles. Clear narration about a unique place. A good watch if you have half an hour. No affiliation with the production, but thought it worth a watch!

Found it informative... I saw Fort Drum from a distance several times; however I did get to see Grande Island and the remains of Fort Wint every time the ship pulled into Subic Bay. Went out and explored and scuba dived off the island.

Definitely could take a beating. That would be an interesting unit. Shore battery with a big vital and armor numbers. Decent firepower too with 14 and 6 inch gun batteries.

I did not know that Drum discussed fighting on as long as they could after the surrender, but water made them capitulate. What a saga.
