I was thinking on this a bit and came up with a few ideas,
The first was, in the casualty phase the medic would be able to move up to one hex and attempt to render first aid to a destroyed soldier, on a roll of 4,5, or 6 that soldier would be disrupted instead.
The second would be an S.A , "UNDER THE RED CROSS, this unit may not be intentionally be targeted if it is the only unit in a hex". Of course this unit would be affected by a indiscriminate attack, i.e rockets

Back a few years ago, WOtC explained that since à turn in AAM represent around 1 minute, there was no way to implement the medics and mechanics in a realistic way. A destroyed units does not mean that they died, it meant that they couldn't fight anymore either because of injury or broken morale. By the time any unit would be healed or repaired, the battle would be over.
The "disrupted" condition meant either pinned down or generaly disorganized. That's why the SS Haupsturmführer can remove disrupted counter, he reorganize the unit fast or has an iron grip on it.

Here is what i did for a combat medic (though looking back this was one of my first cards and i would change disrupted to destroyed and increase the points to 7);
People in our gaming circle have used this card and have liked it. I now have dedicated Medics in the form of figures from 3D Breed miniatures. They make Medic figures that are nicely done. They include US, British, French, German, Russian and, Japanese.
