The white one is from the Eastern Front I believe. If you go to the AAM resource page and go to Ober's AAM data base, and look up the Eastern front set. That piece is actually the Pak35/36.
Looks to me like Wotc got the two mixed up. The PAK 38 was the 50mm gun and the 35/36 was the 37mm gun. Pictured on the PAK 38 card is the PAK 36 and the PAK 35/36 card bears the PAK 38. Either that or the PAK 35/36 is the PAK 36r, the Russian captured 76mm gun

WotC just reused the same sculpt for the 2 different guns. Also, there is the Infamous "Messerspit" model in the game. The D-Day set Spitfire is actually a ME-109 sculpt, the 39-45 model is an actual Spitfire. I reckon that WotC thought we were all too dumb to realize they were being cheapskates & trying to pull a fast one on us gamers....NOT!!! As long as you have the correct cards, you are good to go or you can always use the white ones as PAK 38's too...just always Enjoy Gaming!

Wow, I am definitely going to have to dig that out of the collection and have a second look. Granted, I rarely ever use the planes, but you can definitely tell the difference between the two!
