In case anyone else out there is into PC games, I happened across a smaller game from 2016 called Atlantic Fleet on Steam a few days ago.

I figured, for $10 USD, why not give it a try? Well worth it imo. It is turn-based with movement steps, firing phases, and you can even call in aircraft strikes and the carrier gameplay has multiple turns to ready and launch aircraft for strikes.
You manually set gun range, elevation, bearing, etc. and it has some really cool mechanics that remind me a lot of WAS.
Also, for good note, the War on the Sea is under development by the same developers and will take place in the pacific, with some updated mechanics and graphics.
