The last time I played face-to-face the game was still in production... I think Set IV or V was still for sale so I guess that would make it about 2010-11. About two years ago I put (almost) all my ships in two big boxes and put them into storage (with Brig's phone number on the boxes should anything unexpected happen to me).
Which would also explain why I haven't been around here for over a year.
Not nearly enough. Its been maybe 10 months since I got minis on the table, and until last week, almost the same for an online game. My 8-year old son is developing an interest, so I may have a long term opponent!
I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast; for I intend to go in harm's way. - Captain John Paul Jones

Hope to see you next monday at Game Empire (next door to Arby's) and bring your son... Yeah it has been a long ten months since you played at Game Empire.
Cheers,

Their ship their coffin The cruel dark sea their grave.
I wouldn't mind playing more, but fitting it in can be a challenge. I'm in Rochester, usually try to make it to Con of the North in the Twin Cities, thought about but didn't put in an event for this year. My Wisconsin based regular opponent sold all his ships
On the average monthly. My WAS gaming group (6-8) tries to get together on the third Sat of every month to play a 3 round tournament (scenario based). Then there is the WAS events at Origins to get a lot of WAS in a short amount of time.
My main opponent went AWOL some years ago after having a baby. We were playing weekly, 1-3 games a night. My new opponents like it,but we barely get in a game every few months.
Currently I haven't found anyone in my area. So it either deploy the USN & IJN fleets and practices by myself mostly. lately its been about the coral sea or midway battles
Ticat hosted a WAS scenario at a local game store (not one we have frequented in the past) on Sunday and had a couple of people come by and ask about the game, how it played. Lots of interest in the sculpts, including some of Ticat's Shapeways acquisitions.
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
