USS Hancock. Essex class, long hull type. Rates flag. Flag differentiates her from her sisters without requiring a competing SA Suite. USS Franklin is more notable, but essexes have supreme survivabilty already. Anything that does her history justice willOP her, anything that doesnt OP her will bookmark v her sisters
3) other units.... how about the USS Zeilin APA-3. I met a 90 year old veteran of this ship who spent 30 years in the navy and the WWII years were spent on the USS Zeilin APA-3 a converted Pacific Mail Ship, a USPS/post office ship that was commissioned in 1929 and taken over by the Navy. He told me was a cook and during GQ he manned the AA guns. Shot down a couple of Zero’s and had one Kamikaze crash into the ship near his Gun-tub but failed to explode. The ship was repaired and continued fighting the war… Go onto Wikipedia and look up this ship

Their ship their coffin The cruel dark sea their grave.
USS Hornet - Only Op' Variant I think we need for a better B25 nod. Does the original see much use? USS Card - Lets get this class of hunters represented.
USS Skipjack - Another unrepresented class as is USS Grayling voted by RH. Or USS Growler (DD Killer) for a reprint. All solid war records. USS Chicago & USS Vincennes for good picks and scenario players.
A-26 Invader - Multi role options. I can't recollect much talk over this. Is it worth a look at? Seems decent enough.
USS O'Bannon (DD-450) 17 battle stars, sinking subs, shooting down aircraft, facing off against Hiei and various battles around Guadalcanal. Deserves a card despite being another Fletcher.
USS Maury (DD-401) 16 battle stars, sank IJN destroyers in the first USN victory in a night torpedo engagement and screened carriers. Gridley class.
Aircraft:
Fighter-Bomber P-47D P-38 that isn’t a bookmark out of the gate
Others: USS Indiana USS Ticonderoga USS Hornet (CV-8): agree with gaz01; let's do an operational variant to get her on the table more
USS William D. Porter - A long shot but it would be fun. USS Ammen - Helped with making this destroyer on the old Forumini. AA spec destroyer F8F Bearcat P-47D Thunderbolt - Fighter-Bomber variant C 47 Skytrain - Really disappointed when it wasn't included in the deck with Ju 52 Any Essex Aircraft carrier at this point USS Mount Baker - Still wanting an ammo ship in the game
USS Somers - class we do not have yet. Intercepted three German blockade runners in the Atlantic, Battle of Port Cros in the Med, 2 Battle Stars USS Buchanan - Benson/Gleaves class (we have only done one of the 99 built) Battle of Savo Island, Battle of Cape Esperance, Battle of Kolombangara, sank IJN submarine RO-37, Battle of Karavia Bay, Iwo Jima and Okinawa invasions, carried General MacArthur to the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay for the surrender signing. Presidential Unit Citation and 16 Battle Stars.
2)Aircraft:
