So this is the first draft of a project I have been thinking and working on for several years. As a kid I lived in Juneau, AK and learned about the Aleutians Campaign, the Forgotten War, that brought so much development to the 49th state. The last two months I have tried to really hammer out and research the conflict to develop a historic/semi historic set of battles. It was very hard to dig up some of the plans that Japan had to counter some of the actions by the Allies. I have developed a tiered chart of battles with three very historic battles and 2 'what if games' based on a loss win chart.
I hope this spurs some interest and this is also my first time trying to share a Google dock for public viewing... so bare with me as I learn the ropes. I can also publish it as a PDF but unsure how to do so. Both Brigman and Flak have looked at it but I really desire feedback to get this set of battles to a place of being finished and playable, so let me know.
Our Monday night group played the first three scenarios. We had three tables set up with a scenario on each. In each case the IJN won a clear vistory... I ran the invasion force and only lost one transport, one CA, and one DD... Troops were landed and Dutch Harbor now under the flag of the Rising Sun...
Their ship their coffin The cruel dark sea their grave.

I hope everyone has enjoyed this mini campaign. I tried to historically put it best together and being an Alaskan from age 9 to 13 I love the history of the state, especially WW2.
We just played the first battle in this campaign, I must be doing something wrong because it seems impossible for the Japanese to win. They only start with three planes, the US has 8, I just swarmed one carrier with 6 planes and their carrier was gone, battle over. We did a Japanese sneak attack round where their planes could attack any target unhindered but that did very little with so few planes.
