The breadth of possible ships for custom scenarios as a result of these additional cards is amazing. I have been working on a couple of historical scenarios and have been just substituting other ships of the same class when a specific hull hasn't been available. I think there are a few DD classes that are perhaps not represented. I am considering doing some research to come up with some stat cards for personal use (mainly on DDs for which there is not already a "class representative"), which I'd be happy to share here for public consumption. I'd like to try to remain as consistent as I can with existing ship card stats. Are there some rules of thumb you all have been using for determining numbers of dice on gunnery, armor, speed, anti-air, dice for torpedoes, etc.? (I.e., X number of x" guns = 4 dice at range 1, or whatever)
I imagine I can probably start with a similar ship and tweak it if I need to. But if you all have existing "rules of thumb" for converting historical ship capabilities into stat cards, I'd be happy to incorporate those into my own research and share the results.
