I'll start this thread here for MaizeCon 2018...October 12, 13 and 14th! This will be at the same Clarion Hotel, but in a private room! We hope to have a TANKS! tournament, retro AAM gaming. The Great War board game in 3D, some Star Wars, and other games! Rooms ran about $90 a night, but a few of us shared a room to save a few bucks. We'll have the normal local group there, plus some folks from Canada! I'll throw in $100 for snacks, and some other goodies! If you're on the FENCE about this...please let me know. I'll have a few bucks for travel assistance too.

I never been there! How many players are in the area? We would need an area to play at for about 20 people. The cost of the room etc. we need to be very reasonable where we can collect enough to cover the cost.

Are you planning to attend MaizeCon next year? It's a great way to promote a newer location.

That would be wonderful! We could have anywhere from 3-6 Canadians next year! The semi plan is to have lots of smaller games, and a couple of larger games. We'll have a TANKS!, 15mm Bolt Action, and some base play with AAM. Just about anything can go, but we're trying to stay away from the 2 day games!!!

I normally chip in some snack funds for the group, and have some of the newer gaming terrain available.

I am strongly considering a visit to MaizeCon next October 2018. Dano903, Could you please answer the following questions:

* The convention runs from a Friday Oct 12 to Sunday Oct 14. Will there be gaming all day on each of those three days or partial on Friday & Sunday with a full day on Saturday?

* What is the full address for the Clarion Hotel so that room reservations could be made.

* If I wish to Game Master an event, what is the procedure for reserving time and space for it?

* Is there a deadline for event submission?

* Is there a space or time limit for a proposed event? I'm thinking of running an AAM event which would require 6 hours using multiple tables.

I'm sure that I will have more questions later, but for now these are the ones that come to mind as I contemplate attending.
