I don't think I knew until tonight that the lowly Tiger Moth was used on (unarmed) anti-submarine patrols, buzzing surfaced subs to make them dive. Do we have a WAS card for the Tiger?

All joking aside it was not a fighter and it could not pinpoint or threaten subs; no ASW value; Did some reading up on it; almost 9000 made and it could carry as small bomb load.
The Coastal Command did get some early war value out of them with something called the Vary Pistol; Great SA; the planes flew in pairs one used the pistol to get a sub to submerge while the other went to get ASW ship help. So if a Tiger Moth is in a subs sector you can fill in the rest;; sub can't move for a turn; all DD's within range whatever get to move one sector towards sub; all Sackvilles within range now have a 5 ASW value. etc.

I read Roger Sarty's War in the St. Lawrence, that focused on the U-boat threat in the Gulf of St. Lawrence (and a bit about the U.S. coastline). U-boat captains cruising on the surface were very anxious about aerial recon, with many reports of the boats diving simply on hearing an aircraft engine at a distance. My father-in-law was a navigator instructor with the British Commonwealth Air Training Program, and the aircraft training out of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia often plotted a course out over the Gulf to unnerve any U-boats in the area. I think it would be legit to ascribe some value to a Tiger Moth.

Nice bit of history; with the advent of expansions 3 pt. Gladiator and Falco any thing is a go. All I read and most makers of cards use historical records to beef up their units;; is the Tiger Moth is not known to have ever drop a bomb.
If people like it they will make it; for me i'm not a big fan cluttering the game with all this stuff; Most players are looking for evey unit they can get and that includes all 175 Fletchers, so who knows?
