I was away at naval cadet boot camp these past 2 weeks and this is why I have not been posting, it was quite the experience. I had I had a major trade going with DanAussi, and I had forgotten to send his package due to me preparing my gear. I sent it out on the 24th. I got mine on the 25th. I had failed to notify him about my delivery. He thought I had tryed to rip him off (which was fair) especially saying I was not responding. He got the package before the problem became bigger. My apologies to him. But on another note have any of you been Sea cadets in America, I just went to RT at fort Indian town gap, near jersey Pennsylvania. It was a 2 week long course and man am I tired. I feel even worse for those staff cadets. It was fun, I made memories that will last a life time.
I was in Army Cadets up here is Canada when I was young. I live about 30 minutes from the largest army base in Canada so joining the Army cadets was a no brainer. With access to the base there was all kinds of fun stuff to do on summer and weekend training outings. The local Air and Sea Cadets had a more subdued program as there were a long way from any Air Force or Navy bases. All said, the Cadet program is a great one for youth who want to get active, away from the TV and have fun. I'm glad your experience was a positive one.

I'm a first year sea cadet in Canada, but I got chosen to take Basic Band at HMCS Quadra instead of General Training which wasn't supposed to happen, so I have no idea what's happening. Hopefully it'll turn out well.
I went to HMCS Quadra as a 13 year old Sea Cadet circa 1977. I have decent memories of that place and the activities we did. I then joined the army cadets and have now been serving as an officer in the Canadian Army for over 30 years (27 as infantry, three as a social work officer).
