This one is a double migration.
First is the American Victory build I did in 2011.
Down the bottom is the comparison to the WAS version when I got one in 2013

Well fellow forum members, I have threatened for long enough without showing any progress -
UNTIL NOW!
Here is the progress from the start to the finished article, ready to go into the mould box for casting and dispatch to my first commission client who has been very patient so far.
The masts (paperclip wire) won't be part of the cast; they will be added to the casting prior to paint.
Critiques, criticisms and suggestions encouraged, thanks.
Well, the white and clear gun tubs are cotton bud stems. The larger grey ones are injector pins from Games Workshop sprue that is trimmed off then drilled out. I laminate the sprue to base the hulls on. You can see them in the pic below
Well fellow 101 forumites, this is the final result after casting, filling holes, clean up, masts installed and primer sprayed on.
They are 4 weeks overdue so next time I need to double the time estimate and improve on a few moulding and casting techniques to save a bit of time.
10 of these are now on their way to Dan who will add the magic brush touch and make them look a little better........ and I can't wait to see the result.
The next project will be the "Tale of 3 Tankers"

Just got my first American Victory a week or so back and thought I'd compare it to the one I made a year or two ago.

Those are excellent mate!
What did you make the gun-surrounds for the AA guns with? Plastic tubing?
