The Kunlun Pass, China, 25th December 1939
The japenese capture of the important strategic position of the Kunlun pass threatned the chinese KMT's rear areas and most importantly the wartime capital of Chungking. Sending general Bai Chongxi with his 5th corps (50.000 elite men trained by the germans plus a 100 soviet T26 tanks), generalissimo Jiang jie Shi hopes to recapture this key area from the japenese.
Defending the pass and commanded by general Masao Nakamura, only 5000 japenese troops from the elite 21st infantry regiment in fortified positions seconded by great air and artillery support ...

the chinese force sets up up to 3 hexes in from the north side of the map (where the D3 number is written)
the japenese force sets up anywhere on the other half of the map
replace the brush hex in the middle of the japenese position with a city hex. this is the village of Kunlun.

at the end of turn 7.
each player scores 1 point for each cliff hex and 2 points for the village of Kunlun. the last player having passed on an hex can claim its control. a contested victory hex (with units of both sides in) doesnt yield any point.
