The giveaway for this month is the German raider Kormoran. Famous for sinking - and being sunk by - HMAS Sydney. I have to say this is one of the best sculpts I have painted from squint and I really enjoyed working on it. He gave it nice details plus I had an Osprey book on the German raiders that had no less than three different color illustrations of Kormoran to go by. A painters dream! Model is by C.O.B Constructs and Miniatures (squint181). Base by Reacher.
You can enter if you have not won a miniature in one of my monthly giveaways in the last six months. (If you have a mini from me by any other means like a contest prize you are still eligible.) According to my list the ineligible contestants are: Solomiranthius, RAEVSKI, Goerdeler, Stalker6, Rocktroll and firesdstny (and the same guys here if they now have a different username.) All others are eligible. If the prize is not claimed within two weeks of the drawing I will roll the die again from the same list of participants.
Just post to this thread:

Cool looking mini. I have the book the captain of the Kormoran wrote after the war, it's an interesting read and everything he said about the battle between the Kormoran and HMAS Sydney turned out to be accurate.... even the part about Aussies being crazy.
Where did you take the paint scheme from, as it was often disguised?
The Osprey book Kriegsmarine Auxiliary Cruisers. Yes, they repainted themselves many times to different private shipping company colors as a disguise. This was the scheme depicted in the book.
