I Have received a very nice New Jersey from TiggerMike. However I am wondering if any of you guys have a custom card for her. The In game one is kinda Broken and i want to get something a bit more Niche for her.
I was also wondering if any one has done a Taiyo card. I would like to see it if you have.

Never seen a custom one myself, though honestly I never considered the WotC one broken (beyond the "all hull 6 BBs are undercosted" point that's made often). What about the New Jersey feels broken to you?

I feel like Jersey is put at a point where she is stupid to bring in a 150 point or less game. but the second you put her in a game over 200 the Invincible flag 5 is killer.
Nice card, But hull 4? with armor 2 that just makes the unit slightly pricey.

Well compares to Shoho at 9 well. hull 3 armour 1. With an extra vital and an extra positive SA.

She has flag 2 plus carrier leader which gives her a +1 initiative boost for each carrier you bring up to 3. That could potentially buff you to 5 if you bring 3 carriers, but in a 200pt game 3 carriers bigger than CVEs or CVLs (carriers bigger than cap 2) is going to cost a ton once you've got planes on them, I've always felt that made it underpowered compared to flotilla leader, which gives the same bonus of up to +3 based on the number of destroyers brought - this is usually applied to a cruiser e.g.: San Francisco, Jamaica and Naka.

Shoho is an excellent CVE, one of the most useful in the game, but at vital 6 she's paper-thin. Both will survive a single torpedo hit, but Shoho is far more likely to be vitalled by a bomb hit or main gun line - a Dauntless for example has a 68% chance to vital Shoho but only a 22% chance to vital Taiyo. That plus the Shoho is far more likely to be hit successfully from a strafe attack or destroyer gun line because of the reduced armour. Add the better AA and gunnery line and extra SA to offset the slow-2 and it's costed quite well. I'd probably still take Shoho because the extra 4 points gives me a tougher fighter to base on it and to me that's more valuable in-game.
Hosho to me is cheap, but without an expert SA and the negative of worse AA and of Limited Facilities I'd be unlikely to take it over either Taiyo or Shoho.
