G'day Brigsy, thanks for the award, I'm afraid my Russian is a little rusty mate...whats it for? For my small contribution to the Forumini Clubhouse I take it?
Either way thank you very much, hope all is going well over there.
Good to see you about Brigsy

Welcome, Dan!
You ever paint anything other than ships? I've never tried my hand at painting ships (time, money, but mostly no true need with pre-painted minis), but have a huge load of Conan boardgame miniatures that just do not look right in gray. Wondering whether your tutorials are adaptable to other plastic figures. I know there are youtube videos out there too. Plus I have to surmount the time & money issue.

Absolutely they are Solo, (and great to see you about old mate) the tutorials (as unfinished as one of them is) are "other miniature" originated, they are Warhammer Fantasy techniques adapted to W@S miniatures, so absolutely yes is the answer to your question.
The simple four step system of Dark Base Coat, Wash and Mid-tone Drybrush, followed up with a Hi-light which you probably already use on your Conan Boardgame miniatures is the exact same process we use on Naval miniatures. No matter what shade we are using, be it Greys, Browns, Reds, Blues, Greens etc. Dark to Light.
I also paint boardgame miniatures, although I don't think I have any pictures of them, but will show if you are interested of Battlelore - Battles of Westeros miniatures I have painted. But I started by painting Warhammer Fantasy, sadly I only have pictures of just some (of the now sold) Lizardmen and Dwarf armies I used to own. I also painted a Bretonnian Army (which sucked by the way) way back when I first started. I can show you some of the Lizards and Dwarf though if you wanted to see.
Great to see you around Solo.
