Barrie, Ontario (1.5 hrs N of Toronto) WaS is all but dead in my world. Sad face I still love the game and have all my collection ready. We play Bolt Action fairly regularly. For naval games we play Cruel Seas and Black Seas on occasion. I will convince the group to have a game with me in the future, but it will be a special game for me.

I still get games in quite frequently, granted some are just solo play that I post on youtube but still play about 5 times a month or so. Getting ready to try the convoy scenario posted by Firehouse later this week.

Our group (St Louis area) still meets every 3rd Saturday of the month for a range of different scenarios - from 150 to 350 points based upon historical WWII naval events from that month. Typically around 4-8 players and we have a blast.
I find people are more restrictive of how they play with WAS, in the regular boardgame people won't bat an eye with Italian or Russian aircraft carriers but the same people will think WAS should be an exact script of the war with units and historical matches. Or they only want to play a certain way i know a guy who each side has to have parallel units like chess.
I play any which way possible. I sometimes play traditional objective games or scenarios. But I also play death matches and random opponents (e.g., Germans helping Americans against soviet etc).
