Would adding icebreaker, into the fluff in bold the way we do cross nations roundels be enough?
probably. I am sure I brought it up at the beginning, it is an scenario piece but if someone wants to put it on it can fight similar to a DD minus the asw.
I just think of a comparable reference to houserules that would make me comfortable doing a SA referencing then here. But bold print ICEBREAKER at the end of the fluff text is aligned with the flagy things. Enough id not take issue.
ESTABLISH SCREEN: Choose one local or adjacent Cruiser or Destroyer. After both fleets are deployed, this unit and the chosen unit can move one sector.
GUARD THE CONVOY: While this unit is in the same sector as a friendly Auxiliary unit, enemy units can't attack that Auxiliary unit until this unit has been attacked at least once in the same phase.
Icebreaker(new): Once per game, when you enter a sector with which contains an enemy ship you may roll a dice. On a 1, remove 1 hull point from this ship and the enemy ship.

Named after polaris, or the finnish "Polar Bear" Jääkarhu was the largest ice breaker operated by Finland in World War II and remains one of the largest ships of her type ever built. Her great size allowed her to take on a considerable armament in wartime and she fought during the Winter War and the Continuation War alongside Finnish warships and other armed ice breakers. Jääkarhu escorted both merchant convoys and warships in the Baltic and participated in the ill-fated Operation Nordwind. Before the end of war she was handed over to the Soviet Union as a reparations. ICEBREAKER
I've been reviewing cards and it occurred to me we should just take the secret breakout wording and ewplace the name with icebreaker. The ice being broken is off map. And a shio can follow it.
Replace establish screen and icebreaker as proposed with 1 sa

That is much more KISS and interesting

ICEBREAKER: This unit may begin the game undeployed, along with up to one of your Cruisers or Auxiliaries. Set the undeployed Ships aside. They are out of play. Deploy them together on turn 2 or turn 3 at the end of the Air Return phase in any sector on your side of the map.
