Sorry the AR 234 Blitz didn’t make the cut. First operational jet bomber. Nearly impossible to intercept in a bomber role it was used mainly for reconnaissance. It came to late in the war to make a difference.
I would say for Allies 1. AC B-24 Liberator - Patrol Bomber - Canada as long range Liberators closing the Atlantic air gap was important in the Battle of the Atlantic. 2. Then adding a late war fighter for the Brits with Hawker Typhoon/Tempest - Fighter - United Kingdom Then for the Axis 3. The early war Do 17 and it can double for Finland and Spain For the neutrals 4. AC B17A - Dive Bomber - Sweden to pair with the Gotland
2 red AC CANT 501- Patrol Bomber- Italy AC Do.17 - Bomber - GER
2 blue AC B-24 Liberator - Patrol Bomber - Canada AC Hawker Typhoon/Tempest - Fighter - United Kingdom
A question regarding the Typhoon and Tempest, because they are different designs wouldn't they have different introduction dates? My preference would be for the Typhoon, and they were very much used against shipping and canal transports I feel it fits into more of the WAS theme.
