I just found this notice on the USPS web site. It looks like shipping to Australia is disrupted. I am not sure if our package got out ahead of it or not.  Supposedly the USPS will return it to me if it can't be shipped. I apologize to our international customers. We will just have to see what happens.

The Postal Service™ receives notices that various postal operators are no longer able to process or deliver international mail or services originating from the United States (U.S.) due to service disruptions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, the Postal Service is currently unable to accept items destined for affected countries at any Post Office® or postal facility location, effective September 17th, 2021 and until further notice.

Customers are asked to refrain from entering items addressed to any of the below countries into the USPS system effective immediately.

Suspension has ended and acceptance has resumed for highlighted countries.

Just checked the tracking number and the package is supposedly still "in transit" after leaving the Chicago international terminal on Sept 12 as posted above. We shall see.
