Because of work and health I ended up selling my huge fleet of War at Sea. Recently I decided to grab a book and started reading about the Tirpitz and got my mind going again about the game. i jumped back on the forum and started browsing and talked to my stepson about the game and decided I may jump back into buying the set again, slowly. I wish I never sold the set but am starting to get the itch to play. Next week I am going to get a new computer and start back up online. I remember being in Club Red. I have to get back up to speed on everything.
Question, while I am looking online what size on Shapeways do I order, is it the 1/1800 ? I completely forget. Thank you for any help on the Shapeways question. Jerry aka gman75
Another fan of XPForge here. It's certainly less expensive, but the shipping is reasonable and much quicker. Tim at XPForge is great to work with and Ghukek is modest. I think most, if not all, the designs are his. If I was smarter, I'd post some of my finished XPForge minis.
Not to be too self-serving, but it might be easier and possibly less expensive to actually get some actual WaS units from eBay than just going the 3D printed route: ebay auction post
Of course, buying individual units on eBay can be super expensive, but if you can get some lots it's generally decently priced.
Welcome back! I too sold off my fleet several years ago and spent 2020 getting back in the game.
As you reconstruct your fleet, may I recommend an online game here in the forum? There's nothing like playing tabletop but that can whet your appetite until you're out of the drydock!

Definitely going to play a game online, most likely this weekend but I won’t be able to map until I get a new computer. Just waiting for the big check from work LOL.

I did order the new starter set off of eBay to get started and have been looking at some fleets. Have also been checking out XPForge as well. I know the rare ships will be costly but I will be slowly picking away at them.

That's funny, I just sold one on eBay. Here's a link to my Marketplace listing with 4 fleets that end on Saturday if you're interested. link

Hello! My friend has almost the entire US fleet (not expansion) and is looking to sell. If interested, let me know. tnt.crone@att.net Not sure about $$. I'm sure we can work something out that benefits you both. See ya!
