So I've finally got round to painting the first batch of WaS minis - only taken me 2.5 years! However, my son is getting into wargaming (he's mildly obsessed with Kill Team at the moment) and I need to broaden his horizons - so they're getting dusted off and I'm going to try him out with a game on Friday!
Bit of a mix of WotC & Tiny Thingamajigs from Shapeways.
Aim is to get enough of a range of RN and Kreigsmarine that I can do a few re-fights of historical battles - North Cape in the first instance so the next tranche of models to get done are Scharnhorst and some Narvik-Class destroyers and DoY.

The Shapeways ones were in High Def Acrylate - which was rubbish, they were like bananas and no matter what I tried to straighten them out they always went back after a couple of days. It's why I have two Deutschland class and two Dido class - I complained and they re-did the order - which was still rubbish!
Ended up having to superglue them to those thick bases to hold them flat!!!
I assume that's why you can't order them in that material any more!
Yeah, my experience is the detail plastics and the newer HP black plastic are very prone to producing bananas. I have not figured out a formula to flatten them either. They just get more brittle and snap. WSF is the only plastic that has not warped like that in my experience.
