What’s a fun piece of information about your collection? First/last/hardest to find piece? Some crazy number of a unit you have or don’t have? An obvious hole that you still have or have (thankfully) remedied?
Clearly: 35x Swordfish Mk.II. Although some was intentional as proxies for other biplanes before the Fi-167 was released, this is 25 more than the next highest in my collection (U-47 x10 - seemed to be in every FS booster I opened)
Over half of my collection I acquired at two local Goodwill stores in the toy/games bins. They were in a zip lock bags and sold for under ten dollars. I regularly stop at Goodwill type stores looking for good deals to support my wargaming needs. Cheaper that way and that is where I got the Akagi ship and card.

Definitely not as crazy as it sounds - I foolishly donated my (albeit small) collection to Goodwill during a move a few years ago, only to reassemble it (and then some) over the past few months. If someone found a Bismarck and some other pieces at Goodwill in Upper Manhattan a few years ago, I hope you enjoyed them!
Thanks to some bulk purchases with Ticat1, I managed to acquire one of almost everything (and many of some), except for the Atago. I guess that was my chase unit -- even though I rarely play Japan. I finally bought it from a fellow gamer, for a price acceptable to us both.
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
My kitbashed IJN Hiryu I got off eBay that someone made with a Soryu. I love how it fits thematically with the other units in a way shapeways just sometimes can't.
I have 96 Sackvilles that weren't fully photographed in an ebay lot, not exactly a goldmine, but now I want to try a swarm of them against German DD's and maybe light cruisers. I mean, statiscially, one of them has to make it to gun range right?
Also, a few notable holes in my collection - Kaga, Early War US BB's, and some rares missing cards, but nothing that can't be solved with some luck and some 3D printing. Considering going that route as some of those originals (looking at you, Kaga, >.>) are getting up there to locate for a late-entry into the hobby.
Edit: Also a fun fact, my spouse refers to my collection as my "little boats" when talking to friends or family. It is frequently mentioned that my cats try to hide them from me if they find them out for painting or gaming. Currently I have about a week of radio silence from my USS Boise. I fear It is under the washing machine.
