I have been working on a new game which is heavily based upon War at Sea the last few years. This game was initially created because I found many issues in War at Sea, such as many inaccuracies and balance issues. Due to these issues I have created a custom game I am calling Nautical Empires which I made for my home personal use. I am however considering printing the game professionally and am hoping to see peoples opinions on it. Specifically I am hoping to provide a free sample of the game through Tabletop simulator in which I have put it onto. If anyone is interested in testing the game respond to this thread in which I have created.

Some of the changes I have made include a much larger variety of the ranges in which ships have, ranging from either range one to range five. I also made the addition of the difference between deck space and hanger space on carriers. This change was made to make air combat more realistic, which also has been redone almost entirely, due to it lacking authenticity. Another major change is that initiative was removed and instead is based upon the movement rating of the ship in question. For example the fastest ships get to move first, whereas the slowest ship always lack the initiative and have to move last. The largest change however is that the calculations for the firepower of each ship is different. The firepower is now based upon the explosive power of each shell and then multiplied by the fire rate of said gun. After this the amount of guns are taken into account and then both the accuracy and ranged penetration is accounted for. I also added two types of armor to each ship and redid the armor calculations to be more realistic. With all of these systems and many more I believe that I have improved on the original game, and if anyone wants to give me there opinion by either playing a sample of the game with me or simply an opinion of the card design please do so bellow.
