I found out the hard way that we chose a good card manufacturer for our custom card sets. My basement got wet and somehow I ended up with an inch or two of standing water in my War at Sea duffel bag. All was not lost, however! I also found out that each of the compartments was waterproof, so the inner compartment with all my minis and the Axis card binder was dry. Unfortunately, the water was in the part with the rules, custom islands, and a small bound notebook I was using to log my fights. The good news is that the cards are salvageable, since I had them in a sleeves in card pages. As you can see in the picture, both types of cards are resistant to water damage. Some of them stuck in the sleeves and got either bent or torn and then I gave up on pulling the more resistant ones, cutting them out of the holders. To me just the 3 aircraft cards are ruined, and hopefully they look okay when they dry.
Put oven on looooooowww place cards on a cookie sheet place in oven with oven door open. Try it with just one card at first just to make sure no burning or warping.
Their ship their coffin The cruel dark sea their grave.

Season with garlic and olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Eeeek! Glad it wasn't too bad man, since I had kids and Mrs Strange decreed that 40+ years of gaming stuff be moved to the basement this is one of my greatest home related fears.
One trend I did notice is that the cards that got messed up tended to come from Deck E. When I put them in sleeves I noticed the cards were slightly bigger, which made for a tight fit. That tight fit made it where I had to pull harder on the cards and they ended up bent, creased, or torn. Can we make the Deck F cards the size of A through D cards?

We used the same printer and the same specifications. For some reason the cards were cut slightly wider. All I can do is point that out as a problem if we print another deck.
