So on the 'Slate Grey' equivalent I'm trying a mix of paper and blu-tac masking for the Dark Sea Grey layer.
You might also notice I've 'clipped' the wings.
Looking good, GV. Out of interest, what brand of paint are you pushing through your airbrush?
MM, I'm spraying Vallejo Model Air paints. Can be used straight out of the bottle but I'm using Windex as a thinner when needed (most colours don't need much) and cleaner.
I use Bunnings Fiddley Bits Grey Primer as a base. Cheap and a good base to paint onto; takes the paint quite well in spite of my amateur airbrush attempts.
Would nice to get information of used color
Ds335, The Slate Grey is: Vallejo Model Air 71013 Yellow Olive (this is the equivalent according to the Vallejo RAF/FAA colour guide.)
Vallejo Model Air 71110 Extra Dark Sea Grey will go over the top now I have masked for the camouflage.
Extra Dark Sea Grey applied. I like the result from the combined paper/blu-tac masking. Worth the effort.
Been away from the desk for a while but in the last few days I've got the decals on now so just some weathering, wear marks and staining to go. And the matt coat of course
The letters / numbers are from my 1/76 tank spare decal box so are a little size mis-matched.
Aaand................ I'm calling this one finished
