Well, at this point, I've got a better chance to shoot down the P-39 than the Sturm, and if I don't do it right now, you're going to win when you hit the ground target. Might as well go for it.
Sorry I butchered those moves towards the end. Thanks for reteaching how to play. I think the game has some potential, and once the ground attack was put into play, it makes a lot more sense. The Strum just seems not worth the cost. Hard to shoot down, but two slow too keep up with anything. The ground attack makes it so much more potent. Not to mention it would have forced you to stay at a lower Alt and keep the P-39 in its effective alt range.
It was enjoyable. Wouldn't mind another match down the road.
Does anyone have copies of Toyama's cards? I'd like to see what he cooked up for the Soviets.
I might be up for another game going in to next weekend. Expecting a busy week this week and I've got a few other games to wrap up. We can work on setup, but it'll be a few days before I can really get going.
I do have a file on my hard drive that includes a variety of custom cards, including some of Toyama's old stuff. Not certain that it's complete, but if you're interested, I can send via e-mail. Shoot me a PM.
