Any good long distance rules that deal with the cloud of war or air search?
A member of the french community had built some for a tournament he organized, I'll try and fetch them. I intended to also refine them (inlcuding scouting from cruisers and battleships) but never did it.
I do like his idea of carriers taking an extra -1 on vital armour for every air group on board. Very Midway!
I use this rule and it works very well in my Midway scenario. Actually I just checked and I made it -1 Vital for every 2 Rearming Aircraft (round up). But I also changed CV Capacity for US, Akagi and Kaga to 4. US CVs base F4F (VF group), TBD (VT), SBD (VB) & SBD-3 (VS). Anyways, the increased vulnerability of the carriers during rearming leads to a lot of different tactical decisions for both sides.
