I was curious if anyone else played games that were limited by scale in addition to the usual time period. It irks me that the scale is different so much so that I refuse to intermingle them with the exception of units that don't change scale (inf, aircraft, etc). It can make games a bit more challenging in that unit choices are limited. I also notice a bit better detail in the 12mm vehicles when compared to the 15mm and prefer the 12mm as a result, but that could just be me. Either way, a nice 12mm invasion of France or Barbarossa are my favorite scenarios to recreate. Anyone else do the same?
I like the detail in both the V1 and V2 minis. My personal preference is for the larger V2s because I like how they scale to the soldiers. That said, I still use V1s when they are the only option (Elefant, SU-152, etc.). Planes don't make it to the table with my gaming group - we prefer AAAF or Wings of War when we take to the skies.
Your affinity for France and Barbarossa are both solid scenarios - lots to go on with both!
I have plenty of vehicles in both scales. I do prefer the v2 ones for being correct to scale with soldiers. The v1 vehicles, some not being upscaled, are used that way or as proxies for other units/countries. I use them often & for both reasons mentioned. They are useful in several ways including their intended use...

I'll try and post some Invasion of France and/or Barbarossa scenarios in the next few days in the Scenarios Sub-Forum.
