Played a 150 pt game recently France vs germany 1940. I had 3 Char B1 tanks and my friend had a fit. He complained that Germany did not have an answer and \i crushed him. Anyone have a German answer for 3 Char B1 tanks in 1940.
It all depends on terrain or maps being played on and rules being used. Truck(s) loaded with an 88(s) should do well, can get into position and should at least damage them, then the Char(s) are stuck due to prone to breakdown. Snipers headshot is another way, not as effective before the nerf but can do well, then you close assault with SSPGs or SSSTs. Pioneers should be able to stop them. Flammenwerfers with their 3 6s have a chance. Hero with 6s count as double might be able to. A combination of Elite Panzer IV with crack shot and Panzer III Ausf F with their smokescreen could make it interesting. They just need to damage them before they get to the objective.
Again it comes down to the dice gods and if they favor you during gameplay.
I usually play on a 2x2 map setup, sometimes 3x3 for 150 pt games. If you have the room to do it, the more maps and partial objectives, the more fun it can be. The Char B1s effectively become slow mobile bunkers that can be flanked if the Germans have enough space to do it. IVs and IIIs can then have the room to outmaneuver and IMO more space balances the game out. But if your friend has S35s they can be a rival to the IVs and IIIs, so at that point hiding your army composition at the start of the game (if you play that way) makes it even more fun. FRA v GER is my favorite skirmish
