Original post from Darius: "I promised to contribute to the group soon so here it goes.
It's something I've been working on recently. My first venture into 1/1800 world.
Two GLORIOUS class battle cruisers, also known as light cruisers when commissioned in 1917. 3D project is already at the printers and when models arrive I'll take some photos to show you all how they turned out.
It's a comprehensive take on the class in their original configuration. Four models can be made, both cruisers in their 1917 guise and both as appeared in 1919. They can be either full hull or waterline. A little stand, if you don't want to build your own, for full hull display is also available. Since I like my models on same waterline, regardless whether they are waterlined or full hull so all future projects will have similar stands allowing full hull models sit at the same level in regard to each other."
First I wanted to thank csatahajos for mentioning Paper Lab Glorious/Courageous project in this group and I'm happy to add that as of yesterday these models are available from Paper Lab Shapeways store
Two slightly different configurations for each ship can be build; as in 1917 and after additional modifications in 1919. Each model can be ordered either full hull or waterline. 1919 version can be build with biplanes sitting on main gun turret platforms or without, or combination of both. Custom designed stand is available for full hull version too.
For those who decide to purchase one of those my advice while cleaning your parts, I would suggest cutting up sprue into smaller pieces allowing easy access to each segment yet grabbing on sprue rather than part itself. It helps with cleaning and priming.
