So I have to show off the first plastic scale model I have started in almost 40 years! It took me a little over a year. Lot's of new stuff to learn about modeling in all that time! Plus my time was limited. The current extended deep freeze gave me some time to get it done.

It is 1:48th scale so the wingspan of the model is 7 inches. At least all these years of painting miniatures with acrylics helped me out some.

Admiral Korsair is very happy. He finally got me to build a model!

The "Bam!" is a decal that came with the kit.

My thanks to you and AU for noticing the wood grain on the prop and struts. I was particularly happy with the way that came out. For once my shaky hands were an asset instead of a liability!

I didn’t know Navy pilots flew in L’Armee de l’Air.

The French gave the USN about a dozen HD.2 when the US entered the war.
