If you have a fleet with, for example, 3 ships with flagship 1 and 1 ship with flagship 2, is your initiative bonus 5 or 2. Stupid question, but I couldn't find the answer in the rulebook. Thanks!
I think if you cumulate all initiative SA, you can get at least +7 or +8. I made a fleet with that theme back in time. Best way to fix initiative roll randomness
New Jersey = Flag 2 + 3 Carrier Leader (using max 3 carriers) + Operation Catapult Hood or QE = 1 Battleship Leader + San Fran or some other Flotilla Leader = 3 (using 3 DDs) + A Destroyer Leader = 1 ------------------------- Flag Rating of +10
And I may be missing an SA or two. Of course, if your opponent builds a fleet leveraging low initiative to take advantage of smoke, you may end up killing yourself doing this. High initiative is great for air supremacy builds and large numbers of subs, but can be a real hindrance in some other cases where you actually want to move and attack first.
