SS Panzer IV Ausf. F2 (disrupted) fires at M8 75mm Pack Howitzer SOD9T18R6d6-1
Panzer IV Ausf. G fires at Mortar M2 7d6
MG 42 Machine Gun Team fires at Marine Sergeant in 0807 7d6
Questions about Grazing Fire: If I understand the rules correctly, the MG 42 can use its second shot as Grazing Fire to attack all the units in 0707. Can it also attack the other units in 0807? Are Grazing Fire attacks reduced in damage in any way (example: -1 to hit, fewer dice, etc)?6d6·7d6·7d6

Q: What happens if your original target is one hex away? Does the second / Grazing Fire shot affect units in the firing unit’s hex? Does it affect the unit doing the Grazing Fire? A: A Rules Update dated 9/10/2010 says the following; “Grazing fire attacks every Soldier and Vehicle (other than the original target) in the affected hexes. Units in the attacker's hex are never subject to grazing fire attacks. Grazing fire can't be used if the first target of the Double Shot attack is in the attacker's hex or was an Aircraft.”
MG 42 can use its second shot as Grazing Fire to attack all the units in 0707. Units in 0807 are never subject to grazing fire attacks. Grazing Fire attacks are normal attacks, are not reduced. Are you using all Expanded Rules (Overwatch, Aircraft, Enfilade Fire and Lethal DF)?
As far as the hit distribution, sixes are only one success unless there’s Shrapnel so some results are skewed. I’m not sure myself how grazing fire works.
Panzer F2 had two successes on Howitzer - a miss Panzer G had three on the mortar - disruption BAR gunner is correct Machine gun to flamethrower is a miss Machine gun to sergeant is a miss Wehrmacht to Garand is a disruption Panzer G hits the flamethrower - disrupted
To clarify, to use Grazing Fire, it is your FIRST MG shot, you cannot fire & then decide to use grazing fire. My stupid tablet still does not show dice rolls, so please state the roll results. Shrapnel occurs on every success of a unit that has that SA. It occurs on a 5 or 6 with a mortar.
