That's more work than it's worth for me. I like being able to just browse and get the pics off my desktop it's much easier. I'm not too fond of this new site and thinking of dropping out of it.
Well for what it's worth I finished some of the models for the TANKS Game by GF9. I'm not going to put photobucket on my computer so here's a link to where I'll be posting my pics.
There is no need to put Photobucket on your computer. It is a hosting website that takes your pictures for free. All you need to do is sign up to the site, just as you have to sign up to Forumini.
Once you've uploaded a picture to Photobucket, Photobucket provides a link to the picture in Photobucket. Copy the link in your Forumini post and there you are!
Photobucket's pros: - accepts A LOT pictures for free. All my Forumini pictures are on Photobucket. By now, I'm only at 20% of my allowance. - it is around for many years. Pictures that were uploaded years ago are still there. - you can always delete your uploads if you want. - many Foruminians go by Photobucket
cons: - accessing the site can be a tedious experience (=slow). - during updating procedures it can't be accessed for some time (sometimes >24 hours)
I hate the site myself, thats why I was so disappointed when I discovered there was no attachment option here on the new platform. Those photo storage sites are so clunky and slow, it seems like you wait forever for the ads to load before you can do anything. Photobucket also caps the photo resolution at a certain amount.
When you go home, tell them of us and say, For your tomorrows these gave their today. ~J.M. Edmonds
I'm not a painter, but I do like to look at everyone's work. I've tried connecting to the axisandallies links provided, but nothing comes up. I've waited 15-20 seconds then given up. Am I not waiting long enough?
If we find a good way to post pics I'll have a bunch to do. I'm not giving up yet. It just needs to be easier and less time consuming.
We've been talking about this in the Moderator Forum for some time now. The 2 promising leads so far look like: (1) DropBox, and (2) Flickr.com. When Outpost Eagle and I got together a couple weeks ago, he said he's used Flickr.com for a while and really likes it. I haven't had a chance to try it yet because school started back up again. Might have a chance to try it out during the first week of September when we're off for the County Fair. Until then, I would contact Outpost Eagle for help.
