I vaguely remember seeing a thread awhile back about a member of the forum doing his own 3d printing for AAM armor. I believe he was selling to forum members also. Does anybody recall that? if so, who was that individual?
I remember that topic but can't recall who it was. Hopefully someone does & can provide the name & let's hope it is still possible that units can be created at a reasonable cost.
Topic discussion under marketplace thread by Tigerace1945. I have purchased several 3D armor pieces from him. I recommend him. Just be sure about the size you want. He produces his figures in various sizes.
There is Miniature Tanks Company on Etsy. James the owner has very reasonable prices and is very friendly to work with. They have miniatures available from the designers Windom Graves, M. Bergman and Tiger Ace.
I now own that Ho Ro & it is a nice printing, sharp details & even has the breech of the gun instead of the flat surface there on the WotC sculpt. It does need painted but no problem there. If anyone has any experience painting this surface, a bit glossy as is, I know to wash first & then prime, but this is a new material to me so any tips & help is appreciated.
I would say these are nice printings, maybe a bit pricey but very good quality.
Are these minis printed in the resin material curt? If so just wash them in a gentle soap and rinse with cold water as warm could warp the resin. After that prime them and your set to paint.
They do seem to be a resin material, I don't think they would handle a drop on a hard surface, no plans on doing that either...I figured a soap & water wash & then prime would work. Thank maus.

Hi maus,
I looked on the XPForge site & it says these are a plastic that is used. It is a nice printing for sure, certainly once painted will look good & make nice additions to any collection.
