Hola gents!
A fellow Foruminian just asked me how I store my AAM maps. I thought I'd share my response with everyone in the hopes that it might be helpful to others, and I also wanted to see if anyone had other ideas.
I lay the old 2" maps FLAT in two BIG Scotch bubble mailers (12.5" X 18"). When not in use, I keep the NA and EF 3" map sets folded up in their original packaging in one of the Bubble mailers as well [see link below]:
I laminated my AAAF maps, then replaced them with a Hotz map. I can't go Hotz for the AAM maps, because there are too many of them! Right now, they are all folded and flat.
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
Art stores sell black tubes for paintings and such. I use those for AAM. Roll em up. I cover em with plexiglass for my two-map scenarios, so the curl isn’t a problem. Since they’re laminated anyway, just rolling them the opposite way of the curl usually fixes them if plexiglass isn’t an option. Have 3-4 tubes of maps organized my set.
