I like to keep things that were fun. Konigsberg for example, I have a lot of fun playing aggressively in that one; its turrets can stay forward while switching sides. According to my stats (https://na.warships.today recommended insight) I should keep Danae around and I'm above average on some German BB's. I think that's also because I like to play them aggressively, get in close and really use my secondaries advantage. Hell, I will ignore some ships because I know my secondaries will handle them.
How many of us are already in a clan? Just curious as to our collective style of play. I've tried to do a forum clan for some game before and it faltered, so not really interested in trying to get another going (that might have been NavyField).
This is a rather quick campaign, a few games a day should be enough (compared to other events in the past where you were forced to play nonstop...) I did play around 10-12 hours this weekend and I am already at campaign level 6 of 7. Considering that there are three weeks time it should be possible with 4-5 matches an evening.
The collection was even complete within stage 3 of the campaign. So now I am just playing for the millions the Bismarck will give me.

I'm starting stage 5 tonight, been grinding pretty heavily like 4hrs a night. Pretty much makes up for the impossible Kamikaze from the elements event.
I should clarify... 4hrs a night is heavy play for me. basically 8-12pm local time. Since I was halfway to Gneisenau, with Bismarck the goal... this event is priority for me. Now it looks like I might have an accuracy Gneisenau (or maybe i'll drop back to troll Kaiser, it was fun) to go with a Secondary Bismarck. Hell I even dropped my final science of victory mission for the 7day premium time, it's going to get me to Hipper, French tier VI, and Edinburgh while I work towards Bismarck. Also, also... my Konigsberg is still hella scary, 1337xp in a loss, 92k damage w/ 6 floodings... might be my favorite ship.
This Kamikaze event was just stupid. Not doable without nonstop play. For a €7 ship... Gladly I had the Kamikaze R from an event last year and although the new Camo is better I passed on giving up life for it
I bought my Z-52 last weekend and enjoyed the Z-46 on the way like mad. Love that DD. French Cruisers are at T8 and I even played a bit Essex due to a carrier event this weekend. Still not good with flattops, but Essex gets okay results from time to time. With Shokaku I am totally lost. Permanent uptiered to T10, had a game vs 2 Montanas, 2 Missouris, 3 Des Moines a Minotaur and a fighter Lexington yesterday. My planes could not do a thing. There is a lot of XP I would have to do with Shokaku, can't motivate myself even barely.
Hi all! I know I've been rather quiet for a while (18 credit semester), but here I am again.
I'm actively playing WoWs, with a couple t9s and several t8s. Don't have Montana yet, but I'm in no rush. I'll have Bismarck by the end of today, hopefully.
One week... Kongo comes out strong, hella strong... Dreadnought, 4th Victory Survived, and 300k damage dealt over time all finished at the same time. 5hours left of premium time.
Have not driven one of my Kongos for ages But New Mexico and Arizona did good jobs these days. When I see the amount of missions you have got on the NA server I might get slighty jelous though.
Oh, and: the 11 Million Credits for Bismarck were claimed yesterday. Indeed a very doable mission.

I understand you Dogtank. I'm gloriously underemployed right now, just 24hrs/week. Money is tight but time is plenty. Speaking to weekends though... I can't play during these 2x, 3x XP weekend events. I don't know what it is, but to get my one victory a day on ships I'm advancing through takes 3x as long and torpedoes my winrate. I got on tonight, played two underwhelming games and quit. Maybe I should play co-op as a 200% xp bonus in a co-op match would be about a normal random battle 50% and bots at least have the same tactics on each side.
Edit: I'm enjoying 200% bonus in Co-Op. Brings the xp up to a typical 50% random battle bonus, but the games have way more action due to the aggressiveness of the bots. Nice to slug it out everytime, rather than being ganked coming around a blind corner.
Does this cost to play? I'm assuming you can power up in game, but can it be played for free?
You just need to be aware of what you're getting into. It is a random matched, tiered limited system. The matchmaking algorithm doesn't take into account what advances players have researched for their ship or its commander, and some ships are glaringly better at their tier than others. Those elements combined lead to some very frustrating and unsatisfying games (in AAMWaS terms think Pure France vs Pure American), but outside of that it is a great arcade style warship game. Movement and rate of fire are all increased to make for interesting gameplay within the 20min time limit. The difference between bought ships and free ships is variants, like Tirpitz vs Bismarck where you get torpedos while giving up some secondary batteries when buying a Tirpitz. Really the money spent on the game goes towards reducing the grind (higher xp and credit reward per match) or nabbing something entertaining.
Really the worst thing about it, is the ships that you have to play through before getting to a ship that is stronger at its tier. Like, the Emerald is frustrating as is Edinburgh in the British line. However the Fuji and Neptune that come after them are strong ships for their tier, rewarding players who stick through the rough times. Outside of that, take it as an entertaining diversion and advance at your own time, don't get caught up in events or racing to some mythical goal.
