On the internet I find that aircraft from the Wings of Glory set are 1/200 scale. How does that compare to the scale used by AAAF and AAM aircraft? I am considering purchasing a WINGS OF GLORY Gloster Gladiator MK.I for use in a Norway 1940 scenario. I am wondering how compatible it would be with my AAM aircraft. Has anyone purchased Wings Of Glory aircraft and used it for AAAF or AAM?
I have not, but I imagine that 1/200 would work with AAM. I can't see it working with AAAF aircraft. I have a few 1/120 scale aircraft and they only work with the AAAF aircraft because they are huge multi-engine planes.

Depends on what level of imagination you are willing to use. Some people use printouts, I guess you could get away with using pocket change to represent the planes if you wanted to.
I can say, the Wings planes are much smaller than the AAAF ones.
I did find in the Expanded AAM rulebook that aircraft used in AAM fall between 1/200 and 1/240 scale, so I'm thinking it should work well enough for Axis and Allies: Miniatures. I will not be using it for AAAF.
I don't own any WoG planes but I have seen them at some cons in the past. I believe that they are close to 15mm which would work for AAM. I do own a 1/100 Gladiator (cant remember the make) and it works well with AAAF.

I have some of the WoG Planes. They would not work with AAAF unless your have a "Real" good imagination. I have posted them for trade in the Market Place forum...

I ended up purchasing the WoG Gloster Gladiator and Hurricane fighters. They worked perfectly for what I was trying to do which was an AAM scenario set in Norway 1940.
Awesome. I would like to have three 1/100 scale Gloster Gladiators for an AAAF Malta scenario. Wish that Armaments In Miniature made them. The AIM Cr.42 worked out well for me in my Battle of Britain scenario.
