I have just gotten back into WaS after a few years' hiatus. I have a complete fleet (plus a bunch of duplicates), certainly enough for 500-1000 point scenarios. The default 3 objective battles leave something to be desired, so I've been looking for something bigger and perhaps less linear. I did find this, which looks promising, though I am wondering if you guys have any recommendations for some good large scenarios.

Shin did a few After Action Reports on the old forum using this method. Worth a look just for pics.
I usually go bigger map(ie theatre sized) for bigger fleets myself. Works better in a solo manner however because it drags on for so long and i play on the forum
Just checked those out - wow are they spectacular! He’s turned the game into an art! I think I might try his scenario, albeit with some major modifications (perhaps I will post another thread entertaining ideas, if he approves).
Also forgot to mention that I do have a large 23x12 mat suitable for long-distance battles, so I do have some freedom there (though I imagine that isn’t quite theater-sized).
By the way, I never expected to find such a thriving community, considering how old this is! Amazing that you people are still dedicated to this gem of a game. Perhaps I’ll try my luck at an online match here if I get the chance.

We have friends on here after years of being part of the community and there is something to say about the simplicity of the game, it was designed well.
You can always do the Complete Kudo Butai that attacked Pearl Harbor up against the Nimitz and her airwing! (The Nimitz and her airwing are the first six cards of my first deck at: forumini.boards.net/thread/25/swizzles-decks. I don't have a source of the Japanese fleet in front of me at this moment, but I do remember it being about 580 points.

Thanks, that looks very different and refreshing, definitely something my group will have to try!

You can see from my signature, that I have a special attachment to that movie. I was part of the "crew actors" as they called us.
