My daughter's latest kick is Star Wars Destiny. Yes, I was foolish enough to buy into a CCG. Need to get back to TANKS. A simple but very fun game, with the added bonus of finally giving me a reason to paint some 15mm armor.

The Grant, Honey, Panzer III and Panzer IV have been released and are for sale on Miniature Market and Cool Stuff Inc! Hopefully the Crusader, Tiger, Lee, and Stuart aren't far off.

Very cool. Terrain is on my "to-do" list for TANKS. Unfortunately, its way behind the rest of the "to-do" list items, including several my lovely bride put on the list.

I just played a round of TANKS this afternoon: a Jagdpanther and a Tiger vs three Cromwells. The Cromwells managed to get in some damage, but all three were destroyed, leaving the Germans with a major victory!
I picked up the starter set a couple of months back. The game felt alright (probably better with full platoons -- the panther needs some company!) but putting together those models felt awesome. I think that alone was worth the price of admission.
I certainly helps that TANKS uses models in the same scale as AAM, FoW, PSC, etc. I guess to be "official" you're only supposed to use TANKS tanks, but for casual play, the models can easily be used interchangeably. Really made this game attractive to me.

Repurposing our AAM minis was one of the big reasons my group bought in also. The other factor was has economical the starter set was and that it gave you everything we needed to play some pretty fun games. The Platoon builder was just the natural progression to make the game complete. Now we alternate between AAM, Tanks and WaS, we useally spend about a month playing each game before switching up to the next game. There's no such thing as too much fun.

Bought this for my nephew for Christmas, he is into tanks now I gotta get him into tabletop gaming. I’ve been looking for an x-wing type game for tanks and this might be it.
I got this game for my birthday and a couple of expansions since then. I finally put the pieces together this past week and it took a lot longer than 90 minutes. One thing that makes it difficult is that the pieces for different kits are interspersed with each other and none of them are numbered or otherwise identified except by shape. It's like putting together a jigsaw puzzle with 2 different puzzles in the same box. When I got done with both variants of the Shermans I had a lot of extra pieces too. I went ahead and also built the tank destroyer while I did the Panther but there were no instructions for how to do it. I just went by what seemed right. Again I had extra pieces. Here they are completed on the Caen map.
