Here is the latest thread for maps to use for online games. The instructions below and the numbers on the maps are for those who want the "Dice Gods" to choose their map.
1. Choose which "group" you want to pick from the table below.
2. Roll the die listed. Remember the format: (roll range="1dx") Where "x" is the number of sides on the die. Also, replace the "(" and ")" with "[" and "]".
3. You'll see most maps have 2 numbers next to them. The BLACK number is the number of the map including all maps before it. The green number is the number of that map in it's group.
4. Find your map, and click on it. That brings up the larger version for you to use in your posts! Right-click to get a menu showing you options, one of which is "save image".
Enjoy, and feel free to pm me with feedback! As more maps are made, they can be included!
Original Rulebook and 2010 Rulebook Maps
Other Standard-Size Maps
Mirror Maps "Mirror Maps" are maps which are virtually identical from one half of the game board to the other. They contain no clear advantage in terms of any tactical advantage provided by the placement of terrain.
Advanced Maps Advanced Maps are designed for the more advanced players. These maps were made to have unconventional islands contained within them and in unconventional ways, because lets face it, historical battles where rarely fought in the most favorable of circumstances. It was up to the commander of the engagement to make the very best of the situation of which he found himself.
Oversized Maps These maps are larger, and would work best with larger fleets. The game may take a little longer, and they certainly make the game different! One side may or may not have an advantage over the other!
Long Distance Rules Maps These maps are not included in the die rolls above, as they are inappropriate to get randomly. However, if you want to do the Long Distance Rules, then these are maps for you, using that "rule set".
