I'm looking at Soviet Sub classes and trying to find something "inspiring"... suggestions always welcome. The D- and L- classes have my eye at the mo...
L-3 (10 victories) or L-4 (9 victories), Mainly by mines. Unlike the K-Class, was purpose built as a minelayer. Make it a cheap minelayer.
Lembit 3 victories, During a counterattack which involved the dropping of some fifty depth charges, the submarine sustained serious damage, including a fire in the second group of batteries; six men were wounded. After some repairs Lembit returned to base. This episode earned her the nickname "Immortal submarine".
D-4 First Class of subs built after the Revolution.
M-35 4 victories or M-135 for surviving a mine hit. Very small coastal sub.
V-2,3 or 4 British U (Upholder) Class subs transferred to the Soviets in 1944.
Quite a balanced list really, only the Italians you could say are punching!
Looking at the Russian subs I'd say the L types would be the best bet. I'm not quite sure who's in the know regarding selection choices for the next team deck but looking at the votes I would expect a Shch in that and Lembit was done I think by frozen seas, which hopefully will print at some point.
A bit back I did look at the units that are confirmed or likely to be in the next SG deck compared to what you've done so far in this deck and I think two Italians were duplicated if I remember correctly.
Maybe somebody can tip you the wink if required.
"That's right son, join the navy. Get behind a bloody big gun and knock the hell out of somebody"
"We went out, got our arses kicked, then came back again"
I know the Team(s) will no doubt duplicate cards from my decks as they go.
Which two Italians do we share this time around?
It's the Attendolo & G 55 that are definitely in the Italian slots voted.
The unknown units are anybody's guess but I'd expect some of those that just missed the cut to be in, particularly of certain types.
Its fairly easy to lose track especially for stuff that has been done but not yet printed, so not in hand. I found this out when I kept mentioning a New York card, totally forgetting frozen seas had done one!
I like the Apache as well. Not something I was aware of but always good to learn and two more Mustangs to get and paint in olive drab at some point.

I'm pretty fond of my Attendolo & G55 cards. Wouldn't be the first time I've done a different version of a "team" card. If I liked their card enough that I considered mine "obsolete", I'd probably pull it, if it happens before printing.
As for a prewar USN DD... no immediate plans. I do have a USN DD on my list, the USS Drayton, as well as a couple PGs...
