RE: The 406... Heavy, I hear where you're coming from, but with the Oscar on one end and the Spitfire/P40 on the other... somewhere something's gotta get rounded (up or down).
Re: Malta/Audacious... wasn't familiar with her. I'll take a look. SWO, you want me to take a stab at her, or you? Or together.
But Oscar is also MG 1 only, I don't object to a MS406 at 4pts but minus one SA.
Sorry Heavy, but I disagree. The Oscar (along with the P-40) moved the bar. Escort (the single best Fighter SA on a cheap plane) and 2MG = Area Defense (very situational) and 1 MG.
Honestly, there are several 5-6 AA planes sitting at 5 points than several teams and individual players have designed that the Oscar completely obsoleted. There was a presumed lower limit of 5 points on all fighters until the Oscar came along, and if I could go back in time, I'd advocate for changing a number of low end fighters to 4 points.
I got it - you don't agree with the cost. I can't speak for Brigs, but a single player objection isn't going to be enough to get us to change the cost back to 5. Ultimately, these are completely unofficial cards, and Brigs and I are in violent agreement on the cost of 4. And lets be fair - outside of a 1939 game, would you ever use this plane if it cost 5 points? With the MB.152 sitting there at 5 points in 1940?

Here's the Warspite card discussed earlier. Basically the WOTC card, but with Torpedo Protection added in at no extra cost (based on the cost of the Team's Queen Elizabeth and Valiant). Hopefully this will get the old girl back on the map.
And now for that most burly of conjectural Italian carriers, which we've decided to name Imperator Traianus. Basically a converted Impero or Roma, she's a late-war Italian CV about as good as she'd get. The Expert Torpedoes are hopefully to help my previous card, the RE.2001 CB G/H.

Named for Trajan, the Roman Emperor from 98 to 117 AD. Officially declared by the Senate optimus princeps ("the best ruler"), Trajan is remembered as a successful soldier-emperor who presided over the greatest military expansion in Roman history, leading the empire to attain its maximum territorial extent by the time of his death. He is also known for his philanthropic rule, overseeing extensive public building programs and implementing social welfare policies, which earned him his enduring reputation as the second of the Five Good Emperors who presided over an era of peace and prosperity in the Mediterranean world.
The name Imperator Traianus is our attempt at a shortened form of his official name: Imperator Caesar Nerva Traianus Divi Nervae filius Augustus

The Dornier Do 335 "Pfeil" *is* on my 'scratch list' already (my notes suggest she'd be a fighter/bomber). I hadn't really planned to do the J7W1 Shinden... but there's no reason I can't. I guess the question is, "What can I do with the Shinden that hasn't already been done with the WOTC George, the Team's Frank, and my own Jack and Tojo cards?"... :?
For the 335, I was thinking fighter-bomber, as well, which is why I called out the A1. The ease of handling due to the engines being on the centerline and, essentially, offering no net torque coupled with incredible speed and roll-rate would have made a wicked fighter and bomber...from what I've read.
For the J7W, it's obviously an interceptor, but it seems to stand out in two ways. First, it was allegedly going to be very nimble/maneuverable...different from many interceptors...so maybe effective against bombers and fighters. Second, the sheer amount of firepower from 4 30mm cannons seems like something worthy of attention.
