I don't know if this matters to you, but there were only four Essex class carriers completed by the end of 1943.

Not really. Does it upset you too much? It's only one over that amount, and we could assume one of them was rushed into service. I'd be willing therefore to take away one Essex or Intrepid's SAs due to "lack of experience".

We can let it stand--I'm just not looking forward to having my fighters shredded by the Hellcats. If we play again (maybe a Midway scenario) I would like to stick to the historical class limits, though. Here is my setup roll (highest chooses where to deploy):
